Lakeshore Road, which until 1964 was called Colborne Street is the main road through the downtown of Oakville and it runs along the north shore of Lake Ontario. The book contains a variety of images of this well-known main street through the years - some not at all recognizable. Also included is a special section on its "paving" in the early 1900s.
